NOVEMBER 11 – 15, 2019

REMEMBRANCE DAY is on Monday, November 11thSchool is not in session.

SCIENCE WORLD “ON THE ROAD”  is bringing the Fantastic Forces Program to Stawamus School on Tuesday, November 12th from 11:00 – 12:00. Cultural Journeys students will experience push, pull, lift, friction and drag—some of the fantastic forces that affect our lives every day. They will see amazing demonstrations like the Rubber Chicken Slingshot, the Giant Tablecloth Pull, and perhaps a rocket launch or two.

PAC MEETING – Is taking place on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:30 – 7:30pm in the Learning Expeditions class.

 

NOVEMBER 18 – 22, 2019

SCIENCE WORLD FIELD TRIP is on Monday, November 18th from 9:20am – 2:30pm for Ms. Jenna’s and Matthew/Kye’s classes.

STUDENT PHOTO RETAKES have been rescheduled to Wednesday, November 20th, starting at 9:30am. Photo orders will be received in time for Christmas. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

EARLY DISMISSAL/STUDENT LED CONFERENCES will be taking place on Wednesday, November 20th. Students will be dismissed at 2:00pm to facilitate Student Led Conferences. Bussing will be provided for all routes except Britannia Beach. Please contact the school office to book an appointment at 604-892-5904 or at glaurie@sd48.bc.ca . Also, please find a letter attached that provides an overview of the student led conferences.
