Please find below important dates to keep in mind for the next few weeks:


PINK SHIRT DAY is on Wednesday, February 27th.  We encourage everyone to practice kindness and wear pink, to symbolize that bullying is not tolerated. We will be holding an assembly at 11:00am. Families are welcome to join us.


OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP CLUB TRIP will be taking place after school on Wednesday, February 27th.

GRAD CAP AND GOWN ORDERS DUE on Friday, March 1st to the Stawamus School office.


PROM FINAL PAYMENT DUE – the $100 final prom payment deadline has been extended to Friday, March 8th. If you have not done so already, please bring your cash payment into the school office.

THE RADICALS FILM – will be shown in the Stawamus Gym on Friday, March 8th at 6:00pmEveryone is welcome. Please send this out to any friends in Squamish and nearby!

SCHOOL NURSE – We are fortunate that Julia Wyatt, one of the public health nurses, will be available at the school on Wednesday mornings from 9-10am to answer health related questions. Some topics that she could assist with are: health and development, immunization, how to access health, vision, hearing testing and other health related topics.



 RE/MAX of Western Canada is offering 16 $1,000 bursaries to Grade 12 students in Western Canada. The program was established to recognize the success and ongoing pursuits of students in regards to leadership and community contribution initiatives. Students can enter online at www.remax.ca. The deadline to apply is March 11, 2019


Quest University has created the Summit Scholarship for Engagement. This scholarship will provide students who have shown exceptional academic engagement the opportunity to attend Quest at a reduced costThe award provides a $10,000/year scholarship for up to two students from any school in Canada. The award is renewable for up to 3 additional years of study, making the total scholarship value $40,000. Students must be nominated for this scholarship.


Capilano Community Leadership Award valued at $2,500. This award will recognize high school students who are entering the university with a strong academic standing as well as leadership and volunteerism in the community. Applications for the awards are now open. Information and eligibility criteria can be found on the Capilano University Entrance Awards webpage. Deadline: March 1, 2019.
